HOT-PLATE WELDING

Hot-plate welding is the result of a programme begun in 1997 to develop a process that would deliver productivity, quality, accuracy, safety and operator convenience.

Hot-plate welding consists of two stages:
- The two parts to be joined together are pressed against a metal platen that is heated to just above the melting point.
- When the parts sufficiently soften, they are moved apart, the metal platen is removed, and the parts are pressed together until they form a solid bond.

Unsurpassed welding quality:
- Mechanical strength as much as one-third higher than with vibration welding
- Tighter seals
- Controlled flash that does not detach
- Welded housings stay clean
- Virtually unlimited freedom in welding surface area shapes.
